On Friday April 8, 2022 the Orange County Education Foundation (OCEF) “Prize Patrol” struck AGAIN!
Here’s how it works. Teachers from all 7 of our Orange County Schools apply for our grants. A committee then selects the winners but we don’t announce the winners. We print large size grant checks and the “Prize Patrol” strikes! After coordinating with each school Principal, we walk into the teachers’ classrooms, as they are teaching, take photos and make the awards right there! The kids, of course, Love it!
Here are the teachers awards for this year (If you see any of our teachers, give them a congrats and ask about their projects!)
- Janice Wilson, Unionville Elementary, “Reading is my super power”
- Jodi Rossi, Locust Grove Elementary, “Breakout Thinking”
- Katherine Hogsten, Prospect Heights Middle, “Mood changer”
- Theresa Bradford, Orange County HS, “Vertical Garden”
- Joseph Parker, OCHS, “Greenhouse Sensor”
- Tara Ford, Orange Elementary, “Show that Beat! Show that Rhythm” (We made that award while Tara was rehearsing for a “Lion King” presentation. So the kids sang for us!)
