Celebration of Education – Joseph Y. Rowe
Longtime educator Joseph Y. Rowe was honored on August 25, 2013 as the second recipient of the Orange County Education Foundation’s (OCEF) lifetime contribution award.
OCEF board member and Grymes Memorial School Headmaster Penny Work said Rowe was an ideal choice for the award having made dozens of local contributions.
“Joe exemplifies a person whose life has been dedicated to education, first as a teacher, then as an administrator, and especially since his retirement as a lifelong learner,” she said.
