OCEF Awards 2025 Scholarship and Grants
On May 14,2025, during Awards Night at the Orange County High School, the OCEF awarded $109,500 in Scholarships and Grants to 24 deserving OCHS graduates. Several OCEF board members were there to present these special awards to our students from the 13 scholarship and grant accounts managed by the OCEF and invested with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. The Vision of the Orange County Education Foundation is to support scholarship and advancement for the teachers and students of the schools in Orange County, Virginia.
Our Mission is to build a community partnership among schools, families, and businesses to provide resources, inspire innovation, and enhance opportunities for teachers and students of the schools of Orange County, Virginia.

2024-25 Teacher Innovation Grants Awarded
The Orange County Education Foundation, through its legendary “Prize Patrol”, presented the Teacher Innovation Grants to appreciative recipients.
2024 Celebration of Education
On September 29, 2024 the Orange County Education Foundation honored Sharon Mohrmann, an Orange County teacher for 42 years. The Foundation also recognized the Lake of the Woods Lion’s Club as a Special Friend of Education.

Scholarships

Celebration of Education
Each year the Foundation holds a “Celebration of Learning” event honoring an educator who has made a significant education impact on the students and community members of Orange County.
